Large-format volume, measuring approximately 10" x 12.25", is bound in white cloth, with stamped gilt lettering to spine. Name of previous owner appears on title page. Book is otherwise in fine condition, with firm binding, clean and bright pages. This work is illustrated with full-page b&w and color photographs, as well as textual illustrations. Text appears in double columns. Dust jacket shows light shelfwear, with minor loss at top edge of spine panel. Jacket is preserved in mylar cover.
Inscription on title page reads "Herrn Kollegen Christian Otto / mit Grüßen aus Würzburg. / 15.06.84 E. Hubala".
German art historian Erich Hubala (1920-1994) was chair of Medieval and Modern Art History at the University of Würzburg. Christian Otto (1940-2013) was architecture professor at Cornell University and a celebrated scholar of eighteenth- and twentieth-century architecture.
