Antique volume, measuring approximately 7.25" x 10.75", is bound in three-quarter red leather and red cloth-covered boards, with stamped gilt lettering and date to spine, together with raised bands. Front and rear covers display gilt ruling. Book shows very minor loss at head of spine and at tips of outside corners of covers. Binding is firm, with gilt edges to text block and marbled endpapers. Pictorial bookplate is affixed to front pastedown. Interior is clean and bright. This work is illustrated with tissue-guarded frontispiece depicting the Amiens cathedral and engraved title page showing Rouen cathedral (both dated 1836). Complete with all 43 engraved plates and 6 plans are present offering depictions of the cathedrals of Amiens, Notre Dame, Chartres, Beauvais, Evreux, and Rouen.
